Welcome to the WFDA resource center and thanks for your interest in the plight of women and girls! Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
The UN has established eight development goals for 2015 to address the persistent problem of global poverty.

This organization monitors the progress of countries in reaching the MDGs and identifies particular areas where further action is needed. - Center for Global Development MDGs Page
This organization is tracking the Millennium Development Goals and has a number of links and reports available online.
International Center for Research on Women
ICRW is a research and advocacy organization dedicated to promoting “a world free of poverty in which women and men, girls and boys have equal opportunities to achieve their potential and realize their rights.”

InterAction
InterAction is the largest coalition of U.S.-based international NGOs, with more than 165 members working in every developing country to expand opportunities and support gender equality in education, health care, agriculture, and small business.

Women Thrive Worldwide

Gender Equality Architecture Reform (GEAR) Campaign
Women’s Environment and Development Organization and the Center for Women’s Global Leadership are spearheading advocacy efforts towards a new gender architecture for the UN. The GEAR Campaign calls for the creation of a well-resourced, women-specific independent entity parallel to the United Nations Development Program and UNICEF.
